Under Strengthening Our Union you can give feedback on summaries from Annual Meeting workshops on the NZEI Strategic Framework, new branch planning and accountability requirements, Area Councils and National Executive elections. The Forum is the place for engaging in discussion and debate. Blogs are for sharing your opinions and ideas. You can post details of planning meetings in Events. Form a Group and share ideas amongst yourselves. Workspaces allow you to collaborate on documents.

The planning templates to be used by branches, area councils, aronui tomua and komiti pasifika have been finalised. There are three documents: A planning template based on draft templates and workshop feedback discussed at Annual Meeting; a template that gives an overview of the entire budget for the branch in word format; a spreadsheet version of the budget overview. Morning Report: National Standards Deal?

I thought our National President, Frances Nelson, managed her interview with Sean Plunket with a great deal of aplomb. The idea that teachers want to block the release of assessment data to protect their own interests was heavily pushed by Sean and he became quite aggressive when presented with the possibility that the media could not be trusted to use testing data responsibly.
